Two nights where the community came first
In BOS, we talk a lot about projects, responsibilities, and deadlines, but everything we build together actually starts with people. The BOS teambuilding, spanning two nights, was exactly the kind of experience where roles and titles take a backseat, and what remains in the foreground are the energy, connections, and the feeling that you are part of a community.
Juniors, seniors, and alumni under the same roof
Juniors who had just received the "You're in BOS!" message, seniors who already know what a year full of projects looks like, and alumni who returned "home" for the vibe all gathered in the same place. After the first few hours of games and team activities, the generation gaps disappear. It no longer matters how long you've been in BOS, but who you laugh with, who you enter a friendly competition with, and who you sit next to while sharing stories.
By day: games, challenges, and friendships that form naturally
The daytime was about games, challenges, and activities designed to get people out of their comfort zones and to mix them up. You end up teaming up with people you only knew by sight or from Instagram until yesterday, and you realize you have more in common than you thought. Slowly but surely, the group of "colleagues from a student NGO" transforms into a group of friends where you feel included.
By night: parties, stories, and discussions at impossible hours
At night, the teambuilding took on another form: music, parties, and discussions that stretched long after you thought, "Okay, now I'm really going to sleep." Many of the strongest memories come from conversations in the rooms or the activity hall (where the party was also held), at impossible hours, with people you never expected to have such discussions with. About college, life, anxieties, plans, and tough or good times—these are the kinds of stories that make the community personal. Rest is the last thing guaranteed in this teambuilding, so we were forced to get as much value as possible out of everything.
The survival kit and the mysteries of the teambuilding
Before leaving, everyone received the basic instructions: basic needs, the recommendation to leave worries at home, to come with a serious dose of energy, and of course, the absolute star was the scarf, written in capital letters with the note that it is mandatory. The reason it's so important remains one of the little secrets of the BOS teambuilding, something you only truly discover when you join the organization and live the experience for real.
What remains after the teambuilding
In the end, the teambuilding isn't measured by how many games there were or how many hours were slept (you wouldn't have much to count here), but by what remains after: faces you'll greet differently from now on, inside jokes that spontaneously appear in groups, and the feeling that you're not just a volunteer in an NGO. For some, it was their first teambuilding; for others, another one added to the list, but for everyone, it was proof that BOS means people, connections, and belonging.
