Faculty is a special stage in every young person's life, full of development opportunities that can materialize in various results. So for a student, everything converges towards the question, "How do I become who I want to be?" or "What is my role here?". If you've ever asked yourself these questions, then this article is for you.
The good news is that if you're in this age category, you have more options than you think. Here are a few for your free time, which will surely help you better understand how you can contribute to the environment and become the best version of yourself.
Volunteer Programs : Regardless of the allocated time or age, there are various volunteer programs that accept registrations, programs that focus on areas such as education, environmental conservation, or social welfare. For example, anyone can volunteer at the Red Cross, where first aid is taught, or at Greenpeace, which advocates for animal protection.
Supporting causes you believe in : Any bill, movement, or organization that focuses on people's needs needs their support. Thus, if you have a job, you can choose to contribute to their cause by donating 3.5% of your income tax to one of these NGOs: FILIA Center, ART Fusion, UNICEF Romania, etc. Sometimes you can contribute just by signing or spreading information about them.
Better alternative : Anywhere is room for improvement so if you're thinking of stocking up or buying something new, try to choose the more ecological option. Opt for reusable items, check first for the nearest farmers' market for fruits and vegetables, and if you really want a pet, you can always visit an adoption center where you might come back with more furry friends.
Recycling : Using recycling stations can contribute significantly to a cleaner environment with reduced pollution, as long as they are used correctly and regularly by all residents. Such stations are usually brightly colored and located on the streets, in malls, or supermarkets. Don't forget that change starts with you! And after all, how hard can it be?
Organization : Surely the world would be a better place if we completed those impossible tasks. Some tips from a virtual friend:
- put on that playlist and tidy up your room
- catch up on the seminar you always said you'd attend; you can reward yourself with a coffee afterward
- start the project at least a few days before so that the group of friends remains intact
- don't forget to eat and hydrate
When we give back to the world, when we offer even a smile or when we know that the effort will count, everything becomes calmer. Suddenly, the rush to figure out who you are stops and looks at you sadly because it knows you didn't need it from the start. So, student life can be surprising and not so hard, especially when you don't know what friends and adventures await you beyond your initiative.
